MW3 Maps

New to the thread. Dumb question but will MW3 come with MW3 classic multiplayer maps at launch, or will it just be the MW2 classic maps? Asking because all the marketing emphasizes the MW2 maps and doesn't seem to mention any MW3 classic multiplayer maps. Thanks.

Those maps are MW2 maps remastered. Some are MW3 maps remastered, too. In fact, rumors say that MW3 maps may become DLC, so eventually all maps will become full circle.

For example, Terminal is a MW2 map, but also got into MW3.

Appreciate the reply. What really confuses me is that the current COD is MW2 which has MW2 classic maps, so what is the point of them releasing MW3 right after with primarily MW2 maps?

Most of the "MWII" 2022 maps are new, and some are remakes. We are now at DLC 6, we got SOME MW2/MW3 maps. MWIII's maps will have MW2 (2009) maps, and original MW3 maps.

There are 2 rumors on this:
- You know how, MW2 Campaign Remastered was released without multiplayer? (Yup.) The maps have now moved into MWIII.

Activision was holding onto the MW2 Remastered multiplayer for a long time for a rainy day. This is their "rainy day."

- MWIII was originally intended as a DLC, much in the same way Tears of the Kingdom was originally a DLC game. Its basically the same game, but with tweaks. That's MWIII.
