Not chat banned but haven’t been able to talk in lobby for a year

So Xmas last year lost the ability to talk in game lobbies. Check and not chat banned by Xbox or COD. Haven’t really tried or checked again till today and still can’t. All mic settings are fine. Mic is registering when I test it in COD settings. Not muted ( but do get icon if mute self). No icon of mic in lobby. Uninstalled and reinstalled. Reset settings. I’m at a loss. Never been chat banned before so I don’t think it’s a perma ban. Anyone have this issue?

Try turning off your xbox and then unplugging it completely at the power cord. Let it be for a few minutes and then plug back in and turn on. Try that and see if it works.

I’ve full power cycled, cleared cache, and checked nat which is open.

This happened to me recently , my xbox headset needed an update which resolved it .
