I would like to take this moment to say: Welcome to CODFourms!
Carlos, I don't disagree with what you have said, but I don't think they give HC gamers the full treatment. 6 Game modes is a joke and less than half as many as Core gamers have. Most of the problems in HC are not due to the fact that they are in HC mode, but the players, the people with no respect for anyone, least of all themselves.
And you know what? I agree. I'll explain as I go along. It's annoying, and it's why I play core games than HC modes. But before we move on, one thing clear: I like HC modes, it's challenging because it removes HUD, it removes radar, it removes little details. What
I don't like is the rules for it: You "friendly" fire someone, that subtracts your overall score, and that whole... "3 strikes you're out." Accidents
DO happen. I was trying to kill [opposing] enemies in front of me, but someone [from my team] got in front of me and I "friendly fired." Hey, it's not my fucking fault he got in the fucking way! HC should have the same "ricochet through your teammates" mechanic available in core.
They have made some changes that have improved the games like you cannot team kill someone trying to pick up the supply drop they called in, but there are still other changes that need to be made. First, team killing should always be reflective, the person who gets shot by their teammate should not be punished by getting a death and losing their score streak. Score streak team kills should not result in the user being kicked, reflective killing sure, but not kicked. Teammates using flash bangs and stun grenades at the beginning of the rounds should only affect those who threw them, not the rest of the team. I have other ideas as well, the reason I have dreamed of creating my own FPS game.
I'm going to disagree with your flashbangs/grenades throw affecting whatever. I use flashbang/grenades at the beginning of any match in any mode. It's a habit that I picked for how I have my opening moves. It's how I got my first kills.
You stated that HC is the easiest mode to exploit. To me, that's funny since in core mode exploiting is the name of the game. Core needs changes as well. If any of the weapons are "nerfed" then all should be. If I hit you with 5 or more shots from an assault rifle, and you turn around with a knife, you should have to hit me at least 3 times with the knife to kill me. If I hit you 4 times with an LMG, then you turn around with a sniper rifle or pistol, you should have to hit me 2 or 3 times. In core, they should just eliminate all the guns but the knives, sniper rifles and pistols since those are the only weapons that actually work.
I know. In domination, you can go to the domination flag and kill 5 people a pop, that is, if you happen to be there at the same time they respawn. I call this Spawn Trapping, because you have no choice, but to die at the spawn. People do this to exploit the "oh, broken spawns." A better fix for this? Larger maps and keep the fucking domination flags
AWAY from the spawn points. This is where Battlefield does map balancing better.
As for your complaint about the amount of shots vs turning around and killing your opponents - you're forgetting perks. Perks do increase the power of the weapons, but what you experienced, however isn't the amount of shots - but how fast someone killed you. This is from two problems, which one of them I've already explained (perks), the second one is modded controllers. People are using turbo controllers on weapons that are already rapid fire, or perks that have rapid fire. I mean, it's stupid. Fuck that shit.
People complain about people in HC mode camping a lot. Well yeah, they only need to be hit in many cases by a single round from most guns to die (that's more realistic) and most gun battles are not done in real life by standing or running directly at each other holding down the trigger and expelling your entire clip into someones head. The developers state that they are not going for realism, yet the graphics are made to be realistic when you fire a gun the bullets are erratic. If this is to be an "arcade game" all the bullets should come straight out of the gun and hit exactly where you are aiming. This cross between realism and arcade is a ridiculous excuse to cater to the core gamers.
The "arcade" portion is what made the franchise so ....legendary. The problem is people are exploiting the game's broken stuff. What doesn't make sense to me, is people using turbo controllers when the official controllers of each manufacturer (Sony's and Microsoft's), already allow you to hold down the controller and shoot the magazine into someone's head.
Call of Duty was designed to be a mix between realism and arcade-fantasy mix. It's something a lot of FPS'es wishes they had. It's realistic, but it's not entirely real. Activision wanted to reach just about everyone with Call of Duty. They
did. But with it, it's brought the franchise a lot of bad apples.
Modern Warfare was a game that really, really catered to everyone, and anyone. As the franchise progressed, however... They added more fluff to the actual franchise that it didn't really need. For example, in Black Ops 3, you could have a perk or a specialist ability to see where your opponents are. You can counter a few of them, but in general, they're just making things too easy for everyone. Too easy. I'm not turned off by futuristic stuff, like everyone else, but these abilities make the game so easy, and so unbalanced at times.
I used to have a schema when it comes to finding campers, and n00bs that don't know what the hell they're doing.. I gave up on that because I have to worry about the jump thrusts. Now, I'm not opposed to thrust jumps; it's an innovative way to play a game, but people use them for stupid reasons. 90% of the time, people jump because they're scared of being killed.
You stated "The player can have lag (or lag switch) and you'd already be dead by the time he shoots you with no way to counter it. It happens in core modes more frequently, but you can counter it sometimes." Lag is definitely an issue and someone with slow internet causing lag should be obviously different from someone using a lag switch and like in COD Infinity war where it has been said the people who are caught glitching will be banned, people who use anyway to cheat that isn't approved like Scuf controllers or Elite controllers should also be banned from the game, maybe first for a month, but the second time, for good.
There's a difference between lagswitch and a glitch, but I get what you mean, Infinity Ward staff will ban cheaters in general. I'm with you on having Scuf, turbo, and modded controllers banned from the game, but they won't do it... because it would mean removing about 30% of the COD marketshare. More and more companies are making turbo, scuf, and modded controllers that I see more youtubers supporting it. Here; here's one example:

(Yes, that's me being killed by a "pro" gamer. But watch the whole video. He's using Pharo, which is already a burst weapon, and he's using a scuf or turbo controller - I find it funny that he's telling me to do research on it, lmfao. I addressed this video
here.)
Making contract challenges and such require HC gamers to play core games should also require core players to play some HC modes. Camping in the same spot can now get you kicked from the game, but I think if you have a sniper rifle in hand, you should have extended time before being kicked and you cannot switch weapons back and forth to extend the time, you have to keep the sniper in hand the whole time until you move. Sniping is not what it should be. A team can control a spawn side of the map and if they don't do it well and all the team moves too far forward, then they should be penalized by opponents spawning behind them. Take Nuketown for example. If you want to hold that spawn, you cannot into the street on your side of the map, once your team goes into the street, you don't have enough support in your spawn to keep the enemy out. If your team works together and does it right, your opponent should never spawn behind you.
I saw that, too. Like, you can't prone (well, I mean you
can, but not for a long period of time) anymore. You gotta move with your sniper rifle. There should be a middle ground between camping and sniper types. I hate campers, and I understand why Treyarch designed a idle kick system - to prevent "whole match" camping.
Let me tell you, I am a nearly 50 years old FPS gamer and can definitely hold my own. I went 32/1 just the other day in HC Team Deathmatch and some kid under 20, probably under 16 asked me how I was so good. I was honest and really I am not that good, I had a good game, but I have been playing video games for more than 40 years. Like I stated before, I would love to be the creative designer for a FPS, I have more ideas on how the game should play, look, feel, control... If I was given the opportunity, I am sure I could help create one of the biggest and best FPS ever.
I'm 34, and have been playing since NES revolutionized gaming.
Battlefield 1 might be the game I am looking for, but all Battlefield games have had their issues as well.
Awesome to meet a "multi-franchise" owner.
