WTH is Activision doing? Their forums are down and MW2 remaster?

If I was in Activision HQ I'd freaking slap them in the face right now. If you are going to remaster start with the old games.

Activision needs to remaster their WW2 Cod Series. Look at Halo franchise. The entire Halo remaster is on steam. The entire Devil May cry series is now on PC. EA now has C&C remaster coming out on steam with Red alert 2 being possibility.

Here is how the WW2 CoD should be remastered. I don't care if they use the same sounds because the sounds in the originals still awesome.

1. Call of Duty Remastered (Includes United Offensive and Finest Hour Campaign).
2. Call of Duty 2 Remastered(Includes Big Red One Campaign)
3. Call of Duty 3 Road of Victory Remaster (Include a whole new remake campaign from the PSP Road to Victory)
4. Call of Duty WaW Remaster(Includes PS2 World at War Final Front campaign and possibly newer ones).

Rumor is, that Activision/Official Call of Duty Forums was hacked. Some say it's because users are in general ...toxic. Or that the traffic to the forums has been declining. I don't know, and I'm not sure what caused it. However, that's good news for me now. Because I am getting more, and more traffic nowadays than in the last year or so. I'm grateful to that decision.

As for remasters, Activision is acting now to get all these remasters out of the way so they can put it on more consoles than before. Right now, we don't have access to playing COD4, or MW2 before the remasters were done. (Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered is out now, Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Rmastered is out now. Rumor is Multiplayer is next on the docket.)

And it depends on how popular the game is from what we've seen thus far. Rumor is Call of Duty's 2020 title is a Black Ops Reboot. So, if that's the case, then a Remaster of Black Ops or Black Ops 2 is possible.

Activision isn’t going to remaster the WW2 series CoD is primarily known for the MW and BO series to most audiences, and remastering those would earn them the most money.

Personally, I’d love to see a BO2 remaster for sure, it so far being my favorite game ever. However, I’m also wondering if Activision really wants to make CoD a series that’s gonna make a last profit off of the glory it once had.

Do you see /infinite Warfare anywhere? Plus Activiosn is kind of milking the series by constant release of BO. Where is BO4? Or right it is bottom of the list. MW3 finished MW franchise. BO just kept going and people got bored of it. MW was a success because of Good story telling, not Multiplayer only. After what happened to Ghost, people are smartening up and waiting for reviews rather than pre-ordering.

Call of Duty: WWII sold pretty well, but not to the extent 2019's Modern Warfare did. In fact, Warzone blew up so much, it reached 50 Million installs, collectively between stand-alone Warzone download, and the Modern Warfare patch update(s).

Keep in mind, that, the average sales numbers are always hovering between 13 to 20 Million units/installed with BO3 in the lead for most recent, best selling CoD title thus far. Advanced Warfare did not fail. It didn't sell like hotcakes, but it did pretty decent enough for a sequel. It didn't get a sequel because as you saw, Infinite Warfare and Black Ops 4 caused enough controversy, Activision decided to intervene and get WWII and Modern Warfare out.

You should not include Warzone. That is a bad example because it is Free-to-play multiplayer game. If Activision made a free to play WW2 Cod I'm pretty sure installation will be the samething. Your looking at sales for each title. They can't be making another CoD and release it for free.

Yes, they can. Hell, Fortnite's doing just fine just by itself. It's only dying because Warzone took over the conversation. Just because it's a free-to-play game, does not negate the install numbers. As long as people are playing the game, and the company (Activision in this case) is making money. It's fair game. A free-to-play WW2 game would do as well as... "World of Tanks." Another example is the Battlefield games which has been doing these types of "large-scale" games for years before even Fortnite or H1Z1.

And here's the thing: Notice that Battlefield keeps harking at WW2 throughout the lifespan of the franchise and is still at only 36 Million copies? Call of Duty as a franchise is sitting at 250 Million copies sold (Those are pre-launch Ghosts numbers. Today, that number would be at least 350 Million if we're being modest. That's just being generous.)
