Why is call of duty discriminating everyone?


Usually I am not the kind of guy who screams out about such rubbish, but I gotta say that I find the choice of country's flags you can choose for your calling card in modern warfare is pretty shi...

I mean why do they got some minor and (sorry to say this) irrelevant nations but major nations that are relevant in many aspects and many people for various reasons such as Saudi-Arabia, Israel, Ukraine and various others not?

I mean, first off, it can't be that hard to just add every existing world flag ( should be around 200ish ), nowadays this isn't much of a deal.

Secondly, if not adding all then why not at least the ones that are internationally known well and are relevant for many people and many Americans with a background from there. I mean there are a lot of Jewish people in western society who usually also play video games and there are a lot of Americans with Ukrainian ancestry and so on and on and on....

Instead they add some countries like Phillipines, Slovakia, Kuwait... I mean wtf?

Nothing against those named countries, I get that they are also someone's home and I respect that a lot, but politically, economically and in terms of playerbase they are irrelevant as fuck. There are far more people who are Jewish, from Ukraine or what not.

Not sure if you understand what I mean, but I just dislike how they left out some " relevant " flags and implemented some irrelevant crap. It's so dumb and the old modern warfare did a better job in this matter.

Instead they add 1000 different types of " gay pride flags " or whatever this is called, this should not be in a video game in the first place as sexuality and politics do not belong in a video game at all.

Gives me a high blood pressure to be honest, gotta do som blood letting before my neck vein explodes and messes up my keyboard.

I don't think that the inclusion or exclusion of nation state flags has anything to do with relevancy or lack thereof, relevancy would be hard to define.

It is frustrating that certain flags have been omitted, I strongly suspect that this is either motivated by some political reasoning or through fear of a politically biased backlashed against Activision, their partners or third parties that work with them.

I think that if the devs had decided to include all nation flags then some flags would cause groups of people offense, just as excluding some nation flags is something that you're unhappy with.

It wouldn't surprise me if the flags were selected through focus groups and think tanks, though the topic is not something that weighs on my mind.

I did at 1 point want to use a flag to help others see what language I speak but then decided against it because I tend to play with the mute all option engaged so I don't really care what language people trash talk to me in, as I am deliberately ignoring them anyway.

The people that are important to me can chat to me through discord.

But if they exclude flags because they worry about issues then they should remove all flags and having Iran, Pakistan and so on as part of the flag repetoire.. Nah. I think there are other reasons for that.

Either way it's wrong. I think they should either include all or non. Otherwise people will always dislike it and find it unfair.. And for discrimination there is still a ban hammer sitting somewhere.
