acog or red dot

Acog or RDS which is your preferred scope? Or does it depend on the gun that you use it with?
I don't really like it on anything i always find it just totally screws it up from being effective at close range.

what i love doing is.... get RDS on everything, except one gun and other class guns.

So basically, the gun/s that I love using Acog on are:
The Snipers
M4 Carbine

the rest... I just use RDS or if I am on hardcore, all silencer.

really, you should only acog with lmg or sniper rifle as both these types don't suffer from damage reduction at long range. anything that can be silenced, should be. ( i only play hc, by the way!). rds on the saw. if you're not sniping quick change your sniper rifle to acog. i run all 5 classes for hctdm.

I haven't heard that before maybe with the m40a3 but with other guns they're harder to use in my oppinion

another advantage is that sniper rifles don't suffer from an accuracy reduction with acog, and there is no way an acog m40 can be called a noob weapon. remember, there's no aim assist in HC. anyway, who cares what people think is noobish. if its in the game, use it to your advantage. war is hell!!

If you didn't know the acog doesn't only speed up aiming with the sniper but also ups the damage

thanks awesomo, yes, i did. allow me to elaborate, in case you didn't know this! with the m4o, only, the damage is increased slightly, but ONLY when you are moving forward or diagonally toward target. not sideways or backwards. its a strange glitch, not deliberate. combined with stopping power, this gives you the only guaranteed 1 shot stop to be found in regular. you can clip somebody's big toe and they die. combine with auto-aim and you are deadly. maybe this is the source of the "noob" comment. thanks.

hey awesomo, sorry if my tone offended you, no offense meant! just trying to be informative! btw i see plenty of other sniper rifles in play. also, i don't consider ACOG to be "sniping" in the true sense, simply something to use occasionally for a change! as far as moving whilst shooting i'm talking about regular TDM, where the auto aim helps! relax man, its just a game, and this is a forum. take care!

Yes, it's a forum, but watch your tone. You can offend people, which is possibly the reason why he called you "dick." While I don't like it, you brought it on.

That's the mentality of Call of Duty to feel better than some else so they resort to insults and attacks such as your post where you used that whole "I'm better than you" attitude. Chill out.
