We can all breathe a sigh of relief now. Michael Condrey has confirmed that Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will have dedicated servers. He didn't confirm which platforms & providers, but did confirm we'll at least have them.

I'm assuming we'll see them at least on the Xbox 360 & Xbox One thanks to their cloud technology & their exclusive deal with Microsoft. It'll be interesting to see what happens for other consoles & PC.

Here's his quote from an interview with Stevivor:

On the subject of things we need, we haven’t had any news on dedicated servers here for a bit – is there any update you could give me?

Condrey: Yeah, we’ve got some announcements coming. Yes, we will be supporting dedicated servers and there will be announcements soon on which providers and platforms. I can’t answer just yet, but you can let your community know that it’s coming.

Looks like we can expected Advanced Warfare dedicated server news to drop next week.

Beat me to it. Was just about to post this. Lol

imo it'll be next gen + PC that will have dedicated servers. 360 and PS3 will run off P2P.

Question is will it be like Ghosts or straight out all matches run will be ran on dedicated servers?

If anyone remembers, Ghosts was ran on half and half for next gen. Basically if you was close enough to a dedicated server, chances are you was running on that. If you didn't live near a dedicated server you was playing on P2P.

I hope that the servers are really good because that will make things SO much better.

Yep, I believe the only thing that ran on servers for ghost was their matchmaking service not the actual games though. They have a Master Server always have for marketing and running the ranks from MW2 on, just not for actual game play. The problem they are most likely facing will be having to pay for two services. mincrosoft's cloud service, and Sony's Servers. Activision always had a server option from Sony since CoD2, they just never wanted to pay for it. PC will just get shafted they don't want to leave matchmaking for life of them. And if they bring Microsoft Servers to PC they most likely won't pay the extra for the useless VAC and hosting through steam. Reasons the game won't last half a year on PC like Ghost didn't.
