Maybe this has already been discussed, not sure. I did scan through 7 pages of topics & didn't see anything jump out. I am now on my 2nd copy of MW2 for my Xbox One. Couldn't get the Xbox to recognize the 1st copy but that's because I needed to download items. Now those items have been downloaded. I still can't play the campaign version of the game. When I try, it takes me to the purchase section. As I said I have a brand new physical disk. Not sure what I need to do. I'm at the point of just returning the game. Any help is appreciated. TIA.
I know the install process is weird. The way I installed mine on my PS4 was:
- Put disc in.
- Game initializes the launch patch update.
- Load the game as usual.
- Game installs the actual files.
- Update the game via the server.
- Game reinstalls itself.
- New update from server.
- If I go something else, I arrive to the PlayStation Store to update the packs.
-> Download Campaign Pack 1 and Campaign Pack 2 (designed for Early Access, btw. But I feel like it's teasing future Campaign Packs.)
-> Download Multiplayer Pack. (we're getting future packs, btw.)
- Rinse and repeat with updates/patches.
I couldn't even finish the "Alone" stage, because of a crash. So, no, you're not alone. We're all experiencing different crashes.
