i think from reading deferent post that dmz is a love it or hate it game and i for one LOVE IT BITCHES!
Both!!
The PVP while fun at times as also kind of gotten out of hand. There has to be a recognition at some players are new or just in there to do missions and don’t really wanna get into a massive squad fight or hunted down. If you’re taking your enjoyment of hunting down players, who don’t even wanna engage with you, you’re just a bully and an #%^^##%. Doubly true, if you’re camping exfils.
However, that doesn’t mean to PVP shouldn’t exist. It actually can be really fun when you want to engage.
A couple suggestions,
1. Turn off friendly fire for squads with numbers five or greater.
I was in a giant 3 Way squad fight in Rohan other day and it was awesome.
What happened was is a group took a building and started snooping to Waze at two different teams. So both teams wanted to kill the team in the building. However, you can as you can imagine as they started flaking around they ran into each other. After some talk, and a couple downs, we teamed up to take out the squad in the building that started us. It turned on at 8 vs 3. I know what you’re thinking that that’s not really fair but actually it was pretty fair.
For one, they camped a building right by a by station and they were pretty good players. Too because they were eight of us we could all be on one team so essentially we had friendly fire on. Also, the bats are dropping but because they were in buildings the button to go through us to get to the building. So the box for essentially on the three-man team, even though they really were not any team. We did end up winning the fight, but only two of us manage to make it out alive. So that three-man team took out six players. They did a great job.
2. My second suggestion is that there be a rating system for how good or evil player you are. Meaning, if you help enemy operators, you get a good reading and if you kill a lot of enemy operators, you get a bad rating. Then punt contracts should target the squad with the worst rating first. This is also why friendly fire should be turned off for a big teams because if those two squad use a contract to find each other and hook up, at least they don’t have friendly fire.
3. Solo infill only should have the option for no PVP. If you just want to infill as a solo to do a couple cheesy missions, you should have the choice of not being allowed or able to be engaged in PVP. However, if you join another squad, it should be automatically turned off. This way anyone who just wants to come in and find a rebreather to complete a mission doesn’t have to worry about getting hunted down. Crazy. However, there should absolutely be missions that are PVP requirements to force people to keep going back to PVP.
