Do you snack while gaming?

Do you tend to snack when you're gaming? I know a few people that do. Personally, I don't do this myself because I feel like I'd gain way too much weight if I did. That, and I hate having my controllers get all sticky and grubby with food residue or something. However, I don't judge others that eat while gaming. Is it something you do?

Exactly what you said, I am currently losing weight now and have realized that most of my calories were coming from when I was playing video games! It was all the soda I was drinking, playing definitely distracted me into ever thinking about how many I was drinking. I have a new habit of not snacking anymore and with an overall lifestyle change I've lost 60lbs since May. I'd suggest not snacking while gaming and ditto to what you said about sticky controllers!

60lbs? Gosh, that is incredible. Good on you for making the effort!

Personally, I wouldn't ever think of eating anything while gaming, because I use a PC with a pretty expensive gaming keyboard. I do have a cover for it though, so if I want to eat in front of my PC, I have that going for me! ;)

I used to snack while doing everything. What a bad habit that was. I'm also on a weight loss journey and realised that most weight comes from mindlessly snacking while watching TV or browsing the internet. I personally don't snack while I'm gaming because I have to focus too much or I'll lose my concentration - I really don't have a large attention span, which is kind of annoying sometimes.

Not really but if I do it's something dry and not greasy like pretzels and hummus. I hate getting my things greasy so I always wash my hands after eating something oily. I hate when people get my controllers and keyboard oily.

I don’t snack much when gaming because I’d like to concentrate on what I am doing. But it also depends on the games I play. If I play games that need focus and attention like shooting games or real time strategy games then I do not snack and only have drinks beside me. On the contrary, if I play role-playing games, I can have time to snack because I can take a break and also if the battle system is turn-based then the more time I can eat.

I generally don't snack while gaming, I don't want to get my peripherals dirty with oil stains or crumbs. Though with a fork and a plate, I'd be more welcoming to eating things while gaming. Or a spoon and straw, I'd eat while gaming then too, assuming I'm gaming on the PC anyways...

I never eat while gaming, because I think it's just disgusting to have oil and crumbs all over my keyboard, mouse, graphics tablet and gamepad. The only exception to this is candy, since most of those can be eaten without making a mess, but I rarely eat candy anyways. Drinking however is fine.

If you ever have seen me game, you will always see a Mountain Dew and a bag of Doritos on my desk. When I play Call of Duty I get extremely hungry for no reason at all. It's a good thing I have a mini fridge in my man cave.

I can't play games without having a snack near my hand to grab and eat, lol.
I usually eat crisps, sweets, salt sticks and really everything that I have an appetite for at that time.

I don't because then the controller gets gross. I'd rather just take a break, but I know a lot of people would rather game and snack at the same time.

Definitely. I just find the game more interesting to play when I am muching on some snacks like crisps, soda and pizza. Yummy! I am slim and I don't gain weight that easily.

I hate getting my fingers messy while trying to play games or work on the computer. I usually take a break whenever I need to eat but if I have to have something next to me while I'm playing, it's a cup of coffee. I also can't stand when people eat chips while playing without muting their microphone. It can get quite annoying.
