Does quitting count as a loss?

I ask cos for a while now l quit when it lands me in an half played match or at the end of it. I quit whether I’m on the loosing or winning team. It does this to me so many times, so that’s why l decided to start quitting!

Yes it does sadly. I gave up on my win lost ratio since I am a solo player now days.

Does this somehow affect kdr?
I have been writing my kills down, I’ve had quite a few 14/8, and more recently 11/7, 19/6, 21/12, 16/8! But my kdr keeps saying 0.7? How can this be right with the kills l get?

Yes to everything. If you leave too early, you lost the match.

There are better players than you, that's why your K/D ratio is at 0.7. You need something like say... 20 kills, 5 deaths to raise your overall K/D ratio.

Well maybe you’re right but most of the time when l see people in my team or opposition, if they’re getting 20 kills they are firing the same amount of time, lol

I've done less and gotten similar. All you gotta do is know how to play.

When you enter a match, you have to stay in that match until you either win or lose. If you are losing, and you left... it's still going to count as a loss. It's ALWAYS been this way. I've been playing since before COD4.

However, if you're in a lobby, and you don't like that particular map, you can leave as much as you like. The issue is more when you ENTER a match.

Actually 14/8 gives me a ratio of 1.75, I’ve had others at 21/12, 19/6 and 16/8 which would make my kdr more than 1.75!
That does not explain my kdr. That’s why l started writing them down cos l knew 0.7 was low for what l was getting.

Yup. Not a match. When you're sitting in lobby, it's not a match yet. When you're in a match, and you leave... It's a loss. This is to discourage what's called a "rage quit."

Well that’s why l was wondering if some how it affected it if you quit the nearly complete matches! Hopefully someone else will know! Cos my kdr should have definitely gone up by now.

If you were getting horrible K/D ratios for some time when you first started playing the game it'll take a while to make up for that (Its an all time average after all)

The amount of kills you get at 1.75 will have something to say to. If youre only getting like 10 kills per match for example, it wont take many bad matches to even your ratio out and make your all time ratio stay around the same.

Well yes l know l had a lot bad matches at the start cos l played probably much more than the average every day. I just thought it would have levelled off by now. I’ll just have to patient

I had no idea, there have been numerous occasions when the next match details have come up and I've decided that I don't want to play that map or mode and quit, but none of those are recorded in my stats on the CoD:MW app on my phone or when I look at my profile on the My Call of Duty website.

No quitting from the lobby before the match starts doesn't give you a loss
