Domination Cowards

I was wondering if anyone else has noticed the level of cowardice rampant in domination. In past games it was all about aggressive rushing of the points. Campers were fairly rare and it often seemed like everyone was playing the objective. Even if your team was winning you pushed to dominate because that is of course the name of the game. It can of course be argued that spawn trapping when your team has two points is the best strategy and I can't argue with that but what I'm seeing now is not that...

It seems like domination is 75% camping. As soon as a match starts both teams rush not for b, but for whatever amount spot is overlooking b. I have always had a general rule to skip the first point and go straight for b. What I am finding is that when I reach b I do not die from other rushers but from building campers, even after I die they remain in their cubby cowardly picking off those playing the objective.

These plays on my team suck as well. I often have the most captures but also the most deaths. One match recently a guy went like 50-12 with 0 captures and I went like 12-51 with 14 captures, we lost. I was forced to go against the entire enemy team, alone, because my team was too busy trying to spawn trap or camping at b. Even when we spawned at the other objective our team would run by it on the way to their camping spot without even capturing.

Then there is another, perhaps worse crowd. They camp the entire first round and don't take points except the spawn even if they are losing. They camp their ass off until they get their OP streaks and then decide they want to capture.

What ever happened to aggressive games where both teams actually go for the objective and don't just camp in buildings? Do these people only play objectives because it's easy kills on objective players and they can't get their streaks in TDM?

If one of the above applies to you I'd love to hear your reasoning. Maybe if I understood it wouldn't annoy me so much.

There has ALWAYS been campers in Domination modes in Call of Duty since around late into the lifespan of COD4, through MW2. It got worse in World At War, Black Ops, and then it got so ridiculous in MW3. Forget MW3's glitches, campers exploit these glitches, and game their way to the top 3 with that tactic. I've seen players who camp and cheat at the same fucking time. It sounds like in Black Ops 3, literally everyone is camping.

Ya know, this is why Exo Suits were introduced in Advanced Warfare, and it's re-introduced as Thrust Jumps in Black Ops 3. Sledgehammer Games and Treyarch wants to bring out the chicken shits. Really push them to participate. But, hey, that's the Call of Duty community. The developers tried everything. Nothing they do will inspire them to play the game the way it's intended to be.

This is more a exploit than it is a human desire to camp. The spawn logic in Domination is shrewd at best. I would imagine the hardcore modes to be worse in this aspect. But what it boils down to is people think that Dom Flag B is where the "hot spot" will be. So, when players spawn in or close to Flag B, this inspires player x to camp near Flag B. This has been the logic since MW3. Earlier versions has the same logic, but it was not as bad as it was in MW3. Basically it's Spawn Trapping and it's worse in BO3. I played the beta, so I know how bad it is. I was hoping that the spawn logic would have been altered a bit, but based on this post and videos I'd seen thus far of the final game - it has, but not by a large margin.

I respect players like you than anyone else on the player list or roster. It's people like you who really wants to play the objective, and not giving a shit about the K/D. And that's where the other problem lies: 80% of the Call of Duty players care more about K/D than actually accomplishing the objective. Sorry, but that's just the truth.

Been there, done that. I'd seen it a lot. Really hate that crap.

It's not that. It's poor spawn logic, with bad map designs. COD4 had some of the best maps ever made in Call of Duty. It really pushed people to really move. There were campers, yes, but 80% actually moved.

Personally if you've captured say A and B and they're camping those flags to hold them...well that's what they should be doing. If that pisses you off then you're just bad at the game, quite honestly.

Now if they're camping these flags, and not taking them, they're just camping them (Or worse just camping random corners on the way to objectives) then yes I agree with you that it's just stupid. Those are the players that yes, you're right, are simply going for high K/D and are basically playing TDM for the K/D score. You can blame Youtube stars for that, cause you'll find that tons of them are posting their 50-90 kill game plays that are from Domination games.

I've been part of a clan called the 55's for around 7 years or do now. Started on cod 4.
Domination was always our bread and butter mode and we always played like you said.
One player would hold the home glad while the other 5 would rush b. Once we'd taken b, we'd then take set positions around the B flag. Be it camping b or covering flanking routes etc.
Really disliked the map layouts of the newer titles as they got tighter and tighter.
We played one game on Dome (on MW3?) where we attempted to win without kills.
We did it eventually through sheer determination and communication.
Despite the opposition raining down killstreak after killstreak on us and all the shit talk afterwards we best them without a single kill being made from our entire team lol.
Our view on kdr is that we'd rather finish bottom of the board on the winning team than at the top of the losing team.
After a match you'd get little kids shouting how they'd gone like 50-3 and one of our team had gone 20-40. But we WON. We died playing domination.
