Console/PC?

At the moment you can't beat the PC, maybe in simplicity you can but to be honest I'd prefer performance and quality over being able to set things up instantly. To be frankly honest I used to love consoles a lot more than PCs purely because of how simple it was to setup a console but as the years went by and I learnt how to use PCs without a struggle so I became a PC gamer.

But one thing Consoles can give you that PC's can't is a gaming experience on a huge screen. I wouldn't trade gaming on my 60 inch flatscreen for anything. It's like gaming at a multiplex.

I will be perfectly honest when I say that I prefer console to PC shooters. My reasoning? Because reaction time on PC is so ridiculously higher than with console that I am not nearly as good. ;) I am probably a very mediocre rank on every computer-based Call of Duty I've played while usually able to finish in the top 10% of most PS3 rounds that I play. At some point I simply came to terms with the fact that I would never possess the hand-eye coordination to compete on PC platforms.

I'm a console gamer at heart. I've favored console gaming my whole childhood, outside of games like Backyard Baseball, where the PC was where I stayed. But everyone I know in real life plays on consoles and nothing beats playing with some buddies. I've also never really had a good PC, so it's not like I ever had a choice as to where I'd want to play my games.

Honestly, for shooters I'd probably stay on console. I'm used to it and I like the fair competition on the console. I'd actually prefer to play games like Skyrim on the PC. I know there were plenty of times where I'd play Skyrim and wishing I could download a mod on my Xbox for more customization. Of course, I envied PC gamers in that aspect.

No doubt PC, more customization, better graphics, mod support, better and more mature community, and of course all the discounts on the games on Steam. It's really awesome. I have a console, but it just doesn't compare to PC. Even though there are less players I think that it's the best choice between consoles vs PC.

I prefer consoles. I prefer them mostly because I like playing on a large screen TV, but also because I like a lot of the exclusives on my console. I own a PS3 and the Uncharted games are some of the best games I've ever played. However, I do enjoy PC gaming for games like Team Fortress 2 where the PC version gets a ton of support and the console version get practically nothing after release.

I'm a PC person just because I can customize my gaming experience and build my own computer. I feel that gives me an enormous amount of control over my games and can build computers that can beat out consoles in terms of raw graphics and performance. However, I do enjoy consoles for the exclusive titles as well as multiplayer as well.

I prefer playing on consoles because some games specifically made for a certain consoles and the graphics would be greater in the consoles. But it depends also if your PC is high-powered and can really handle the game well so the graphics would not be altered. But some PC’s cannot handle the graphics of a certain game because it is made only for a specific console so it may play the game, the graphics will be compromised and could lead to a poor gaming experience. So I would definitely choose console in terms of gaming.

I'm surprised more people voted for PC. I would much rather play on console. I just think it's more comfortable and natural.

I play on both PS 4 and PC but I rarely play X box unless I am at the arcade or at a friend's place. Anyway, it depends on the game that I am playing. Call of Duty just works better for me on PC.

It was different back when games where on cartridges like with the Nintendo 64. Nowadays, the only thing video game consoles have going for them is that they're convenient. Basically, they're just a low-budget PC with a cool looking case and an optimized operating system for gaming. Oh, and a controller!

Personally your better off taking the $500 and putting towards your next PC build. You'll never want to go back to a console after you experience a game with maxed out settings, at least 60 FPS, and a decent gaming monitor. You can still plug in your controller if you can't get used to a keyboard and mouse.

I had to go with console on this poll, and I know it's probably the less popular choice, it's just what I've grown up with really.

I have played a few titles on the PC but I just prefer the console for video games, and the controller rather than keyboard.

Each to their own I guess...
