In a game style where every second matters, they sure AF waste a lot of them.

Here's the thing with my neurodivergent brain. Time does not operate normally for me. If it is boring or I am uninterested, those few seconds feel like an eternity.
In fact, I used that time to stretch and heat up some food. I noticed the clock on my stove needed reset and it wasn't until I heard bullets that I realized I'd accidentally gone AFK because that is how boring and uninteresting it all is - honestly!
Secondly, it can take a match or two to focus my attention and get into my groove. Granted, it's impossible to try hard or take any of it seriously because of the constant camping snipers that camp and snipe all of everything to oblivion.
That is a whole other issue.
I am patient with the lobby wait times. But if you want me to keep playing, STOP BREAKING MY IMMERSION! Let me seamlessly run to the next lobby like my pants are on fire.

You can adjust your loadout in game so this isn't really an issue.

Whether you get shot and killed or not is irrelevant to the point I made. However, I don't understand why they forced you to spawn in before selecting your class, especially at the start of the game.
