i just bought cold war yesterday, and then when I try to launch it, this happens during the intro: https://gyazo.com/bff0c018470b4c7a85631744964284aa
so, I tried doing the "scan and repair" several times, didnt work
so I reinstalled the game(twice) didnt do anything
updated my GPU, and also tried to revert it to last update, didnt work
tried restarting router, nothing
updated windows, and tried turning off windows firewall and defender, did not work either
tried forcing the game to run windowed and in DX11, which also did nothing
but sometimes, when I actually get through the intro without getting a fatal error, what comes up is a network error, its stuck trying to connect to online services, so im thinking maybe theres something wrong on that front from my end? I just dont know where to start or what to look for, so I also called my internet provider, they found nothing wrong..I also tried opening Nvidia control panel and use default color settings,
running Bnet as admin, and also cold war as admin,
swapped display language to english
Then, when I swap to North American region, sometimes the game works (like 1 in 30 attempts i will get through)
But on EU region I just never get through, surely its not meant to be like this lol
Error Code: 0x0 (0x998F591E) N

if this doesnt get resolved I'll just have to refund it I guess, I literally cant play the game lol

I had a similar error months ago. Ended up being a bios update that fixed it. Sounds like it could also be the driver for your NIC (network adapter). If it's a Dell, install their Dell command update. If another mfg, check on their website for motherboard/driver updates.

Depends on your PC manufacturer. If it's a Dell, download and run 'Dell Command Update'.

If it's made by someone else, easier if it's a name brand. They often have utilities that will update all your drivers. Go to their website and support. See if it they have a utility that will detect your PC. Otherwise, will need to find the serial number and/or model. Then look for drivers, then bios update.
