semtex vs thermite

I have a couple of dudes with no anti-vehicle gear, and need to choose between one of these. I am leaning towards thermite, but semtex seems to be more generally useful against soldiers (area of boom).

We play a lot of Cyber Attack and most of us use Thermite. Simply because the use of thrown explosives is mostly used against shields or snipers and thermite is nice and quick to throw.

Semtex has a bigger AOE but you can also use thermite to block doorways so people can't walk through it for the duration of the fire stick.

Yes, I love using thermite against the shield bullies, once that's stuck to their shield there's nothing they can do to get away from it, it throws more directly too. I found semtex to be harder to aim, it kind of goes up and arks down instead of straight out, making it less predictable in the heat of the moment (pun intended).

I would love to thermite their asses, but I run into them rarely and I just can't function w/o my Bouncing Bettys

I discovered the Thermite vs shield answer when there was a daily challenge to get thermite kills, I think it was on Shipment, when I had a player come at me for a shield attack and I panicked and hit the button to toss my thermite. It landed on the shield and I got the kill.

Yea, I can imagine how satisfying it is.. I just can't give up my BBs on the off chance I'll run into a shield pu$$y....

Since I try to avoid combat, the odds are usually in my favor.. I love the satisfying BOOM when I put a pair of BBs at the top of the ladder at the Prison Castle Quad Tower courtyard...

Honestly I'm very partial toward thermites they have so many uses.
Whether it's fighting shield guys, breaking up a camped crew, blocking a door, covering an escape, and my favorite... Throwing it on the S&D bomb during the last 10 seconds of the timer so the potential defuser gets burned to ****

I have many vidoes with these exact situations in them. Both are good but I'm partial to my semtex. I have a couple of vidoes of sticking guys with shields with both. It's just way too much fun

There is something that's just so satisfying about landing those shots when people think they are untouchable.
