I'm not sure if its just because its the highest but for me 10 stands out and looks by far the best.

I used to think that the 4th prestige icon was unique and cool until I got my 9th prestige.

prestige 9 is awesome. It is full of fun and the most thing is its colour combination. Which is superb and it seems great equal to other Cod 4 prestige badge icons, I like to give 8 vote to prestige 9.
Depends on what you're doing. When I was in my 4th prestige, I ran through the prestige faster because I was switching weapons a lot, so I was using a variety of weapons - resulting in accomplishing most of the weapon challenges.
When you finish a lot of the challenges in the prestige, you can get to your next prestige faster. It also helps that you rack up a lot of kills per match.
