Since BO2’s iteration of League Play, I feel there hasn’t been another version of league play that has lived up to that standard BO2 set. Ask any pro player and they almost always say that BO2 was a great competitive COD.
So, my questions:
I realize it’s a long shot but if a developer could weigh in on any of these questions, that would be absolutely amazing.
I’m looking for any and all discussion on this topic. I’ve been hoping for something close to BO2 league play to come up in COD since BO2. I haven’t been exactly satisfied and I’m sure there are others that have similar feelings.
So, my questions:
- Why hasn’t there been a version of League Play that essentially copied what BO2 did?
- Was BO2 a game that was predisposed to be a great competitive game leading to the success of league play?
- Does League Play no longer work with the grand scheme of what a COD title looks like currently? With having Battle Royale modes, more emphasis on customization, loot, battle passes, etc., is there no longer a space for League Play to be viable in COD?
- Is there a world where there could be a separate game for competitive?
I realize it’s a long shot but if a developer could weigh in on any of these questions, that would be absolutely amazing.
