Maps Load to like 97% then Hang Forever

I have an annoying problem. After I join a match and am loading in, the yellow line goes to like 97% almost instantly then just hangs there. Sometimes it is like 2-3mins before it loads in other times it is longer. In ladder matches I have missed 2 rounds of search and destroy before it finishes loading. I think my frame rates are around 80-90 with my current settings. I have tried various graphic settings and it doesnt seem to matter much. I have an older i7 processor w/ 8GB of RAM and an RX570 graphics card. I should also note that shader compilation takes like 30-40 mins after updating graphics drivers. I checked CPU usage during loading and it was around 70% or so. I have an SSD and I had a few GB of memory left. On another note it usually happens on the first load of that map for the day. If anyone has any suggestions that would be great

Have a similar system myself and maps taking forever to load. Without going into detail about it. My Fix is: I have to restart shader installation and then start playing anyways, every play session, levels load very fast, and computer catches up pretty quick, only a few hitches that first map, may cost you some lives.......

BTW, you can overclock and under-volt the living crap out of that video card

see thread WHY???? its right next to this thread

not sure about cpu, but i used to have a R7 370 2GB, ran warzone fine.....BOCW only requires 2GB also.
run 3dmark timespy, I get 4100...

My kbps is never over 2000, usually in the low 1000's. My brother on the same internet, newer I7 with a 2060 Geforce gpu, is in the 3000's and never has a map load problem.

What i don't understand is warzone loads fine and its map is huge along with having 10x the players. Shader install takes forever for me . Probably around 45 mins at least. It also doesn't seem to matter what settings i play on. I can turn everything way down or crank up the settings and still have the same issue. I did do a fresh install of windows and it seems to help some. Hopefully i will be able to build a new pc soon.

what kind of i7? I have a I5-3470 and shader install in warzone never takes more than 15 mins....

anyways my fix is to stay in shader install state and play anyway in BOCW, and levels load very fast, it will studder at first, but at least Im playing.....

Same here, my settings don't seem to make any difference, nor does my kbps speed. If its a version of a map I have not played then it rarely loads the first time. Maybe the 2nd try it will load. I have gotten in to games and would have died 4 times already, and sometimes the the inactivity message about being kicked. So my avatar shows up in the game, other people can see it and shoot me and it respawns, but I'm still on loading screen.

Does anyone know what the system is doing the last 5% of that loading progress bar. Activision will not answer. It might help figure out what is the offending component or whatever?

Having same exact issue, back to where I started. I am having to restart shader install every boot...to be able to play (takes 40 mins)....except now I am playing anyways (I can't wait), at least I have a fighting chance. I would complain but I am sure activision would be to the quick to point out that I have a 3 gen system, when they only support 4 gen or later....Man I needed a new machine!!!!
